Adult Safe Environment

The mission of the diocese’s “Safe Environment Program” is to ensure the safety of children and young people who have been entrusted to our care in our parishes, schools, religious education classes, and other programs.  All adult volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Program.  You can access the details of the program on the Diocese of Owensboro website by clicking here.

Minor Circle of Grace

The diocese requires that every minor in a Catholic school or in a parish faith formation program receive safety training annually, which includes the topics of sexual abuse prevention and the need to tell if abuse is occurring. Children who attend St. Mary School System or Paducah Faith Formation receive Circle of Grace training annually in their religion class.
