The foundation of all other forms of stewardship is prayer—giving back to God a generous portion of our time through a prayerful relationship with Him.  Each Advent since 2005, we have offered parishioners (Confirmation age or older) an opportunity make a personal commitment to prayer for the following year. Fr. Reynolds asked parishioners to reflect on and complete a personal prayer commitment card, which lists a variety of personal and communal opportunities for increasing one’s prayer life. After completion of the two-part card, one side was collected during Mass; the other side may be used as a personal reminder of your renewed prayer commitment for 2010.  Returning a portion of the card helps us assess and appreciate the powerful presence of prayer here in our parish.  Extra copies of our prior Stewardship of Prayer pamphlets are available in the Gathering Space; these pamphlets can be used as a prayer resource for each day of the week.  With grateful hearts, may we experience the power of prayer in our lives, in our parish, and far beyond the boundaries of our community and nation.
