Religious Education & Formation

Liturgy of the Word for Children

Children ages Pre-K through 2nd grade are guided through Sunday scripture lessons during weekend Masses, apart from the adult assembly, so that the Word of God can come alive for them at their level. Adults and youth (ages 12 and over) serve on a rotating basis as leaders and assistants. Lessons and materials are provided. Classes are held from August through May and generally follow the school calendar. Safe Environment certification and background check are required for adult volunteers.

Additionally, parishioners are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.  For more information click here.

Baptism Sacramental Preparation Classes

Baptism preparation classes are held at the church on the third Sunday of the month for parents preparing to baptize their child.  Adults are needed to serve as class facilitators.  Training and materials are provided.  Facilitators typically teach classes only 3 or 4 times throughout the year; classes are approximately 1 hour long.  This is a wonderful way to share your faith and experience with parents preparing to baptize a child.
